Library Trustees approve facility upgrades, address heating and water damage

NH PETERBOROUGH — Peterborough library board authorizes heat pump replacement; modifies overdue and meeting-room policies. The Board of Trustees voted unanimously to modify the Overdue Collection Policy to allow staff to request compliance when items reach 70 days overdue, addressing approximately 90 currently long-term overdue items. The board voted unanimously to prohibit public events in library meeting rooms on Sundays while permitting private events at the director's discretion.
The board voted unanimously to replace a failed minisplit heating unit at an estimated cost of $6,000, compared to $2,000 for repair, with Director Corinne C to obtain two replacement quotes.
